Welcome, it is great to meet you.
Hello, I’m Melissa, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and over 19 years of experience supporting adults through life’s most challenging transitions. I’m licensed to practice independently in the state of Massachusetts, and my professional background is deeply rooted in the medical field—working with individuals and families facing the emotional complexities that often accompany health issues and caregiving.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with adults ages 18 to 100, providing support during times of grief, loss, chronic illness, and end-of-life care. These conversations come naturally to me, even when they feel difficult or uncomfortable for others. That’s a big part of why I do this work: to offer a compassionate, judgment-free space where you can speak openly about the parts of life that often go unspoken.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, grounded in empathy, respect, and a genuine desire to understand your experience. I tailor our work together based on your needs, always moving at a pace that honors your comfort and capacity.
I support individuals who are personally navigating these challenges, as well as those caring for or affected by someone who is.
Grief and loss
End-of-life concerns
Caregiver stress and burnout
Adjustment to chronic illness, whether you’re living with it or caring for someone who is
Anxiety and depression, whether tied to specific events or emerging without a clear cause
No matter your story, my goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered as we work together toward clarity, connection, and healing.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy reading—especially suspense and romantic comedies—being active outdoors, and spending time with my family. Whether I’m coaching my daughter’s soccer team or kayaking on a quiet lake, I value presence, movement, and making space for joy in the everyday.
